PDE is proud to be working on American Dream Meadowlands, a project we’ve been a part of since it’s inception.
“After being involved in the traffic planning, roadway design, and multiple approvals of this project for over 30 years, it’s exciting to see it finally nearing completion,” says CEO Ken Mackiewicz.
Our responsibilities in the construction of Meadowlands have included designing and getting permits for over $30 million dollars of improvements to surrounding highways, as well as performing traffic analysis of the area, with particular consideration of critical time periods when events at the mall would be taking place (concerts or football games, for example).
The project’s development has been featured in an article on PhillyVoice, which can be found below:
New target date set for New Jersey’s ‘American Dream’ Megamall
“Nearly 15 years in the making, North Jersey’s ambitious Megamall project is back on track after the developers of the American Dream Meadowlands secured approximately $3 billion in new financing.”
“Triple Five said last year it anticipates American Dream’s construction alone will bring about 23,000 jobs and $50 million in tax revenue, as well as a range of economic benefits to the community in East Rutherford. Over the next two decades, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority projects American Dream will generate a net economic benefit of $730 million for the state.”
